Everything started for us as a Red Bull Project in 2020 when it was not possible to travel
the world.
My business partner and wife Alexandra Gobran has seen me struggling with lots of
injuries due to the weight of my bike. Then she came up with the idea to research into
building a lighter bike.
The technology in BMX Freestyle compared to other bike disciplines was very little
developed. I saw how my sport stopped having newer young riders and the female
participation was very low. The bikes were simply too heavy.
I always wanted to have a lighter bike because I had a lot of injuries due to repetition when
practicing with my heavy bike. So, when we decided to start this project, I googled “BMX
Titanium” and I found David Palau from Barcelona who was already working on Titanium
bikes. I met him during a Red Bull show I was doing in Barcelona and I couldn’t believe the
first time I held a titanium frame and bar in my hands. It was the first time in my career I
met an engineer interested in improving BMX Freestyle and taking its technology to the
next level making the best products BMX has ever seen.”

I have always been passionate cycling since I was very young. At the age of 14, and
thanks to my father, for his competition motorsports engineering projects, I discovered
the titanium material and alloys, and that’s when I became fascinated by this material,
its processes, applications, and incredible qualities. When my oldest son was a child, I
reconnected with the world of BMX, and I was surprised that a 20” wheel bike weighed
more than my 29” mountain bike!!! This weight issue made him and other kids feel
uncomfortable with the sport and they ended up abandoning it for another sport. That’s
when I realized that BMX freestyle didn’t have advanced technology in line with the
sport’s evolution, and I decided to fully immerse myself in this world to improve it.
